Piattelli Limited Edition Ancellotta
“A wine that makes you do a double take, this unusual red has 17% natural alcohol and is a super rich, almost Amarone style Ancellotta, albeit with only three grams of residual sugar. Concentrated, compact and figgy with very smooth tannins.” Tim Atkin 2017 This barrel selection of Ancellotta comes from our Tres Cruces Vineyard, located in the Animaná Valley, at 5,577 feet above sea level. We fermented this wine in concrete eggs, after 2 days of maceration the pomace is separated and the wine finished fermenting at low temperatures. Aged in oak barrels for 12 months.
